The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 of 16 (To update)

The Letter of St. Paul

 to

The Romans

 Chapter

6

¹ What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 1)

Oh God as human beings we are never to abuse of Your love and mercy by sinning with the intention that You love us so much that You forgive from our sins Amen.

² By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 2)

Oh God my Father this is a daily struggle. I am fully convinced that You have delivered me from my previous life of sin, however my carnal body still gives me impulses that incline me to sin. I pray that You deliver me from this inner evil Amen.

³ Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 3)

Brothers and sisters this is a very encouraging verse for it confirms as Jesus had said many times that if we die in Him He will also resurrect us in Himself Amen.

⁴ Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father; so we too might walk in the newness of life.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 4)

Oh God my Father this is my greatest consolation that even on dying I am not abandoned but will rise again to be with You Amen.

⁵ For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 5)

Amen oh Jesus my Father, this is my greatest hope and belief which keeps me going in life, that of being reunited with You upon leaving this world Amen.

⁶ We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 6)

Oh God my Father as You know today I let my old self take over and I became angry and rebellious. For this I would like to obtain Your forgiveness my God and Father. I pray that You teach me to be humble and more self-controlled Amen.

⁷ For whoever has died is freed from sin. ⁸ But if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verses 7 to 8)

Amen oh God, my Father this is why I am not afraid of death and dying because it is a transition from one place to one which is much better. A place where we will be free from sin and blessed by Your Holy Spirit Amen.

⁹ We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 9)

Oh God my Father You have full control over life and death. Death is at Your service. I pray that I will not be found in grievous sin at the time of my death but in grace Amen.

¹⁰ The death he died, he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. ¹¹ So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 10 to 11)

Oh God, my Father, only You can understand how seriously I take my life, and how I pray for Your protection against the forces of evil, however, I am not yet free from evil. This mind and body in which You dwell has the sin of its own destruction which is sin which as a human I am not free off. My spirit wishes to do only good, however, my mind and body still condition me from living this life of grace in all its completeness Amen. It is only with Your help that I can reach this aim Amen.

¹² Therefore, do not let sin exercise dominion in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verse 12)

Oh God my Father I pray for more sensitivity and awareness over my self, so that when I catch myself about to commit sin, I will immediately take action and stop Amen.

¹³ No longer present your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness. ¹⁴ For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under the law but under grace.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 6 verses 13 to 14)

Oh God my Father I thank You for having cleansed my dirty members from the stronghold of sin. I thank You for giving me the grace and liberty to make good choices that are inspired by Your presence Amen.
